Neal Acree Nominated For three Game Audio Network Guild Awards.

Neal Acree has been nominated alongside the talented audio and music departments at Blizzard Entertainment for two Game Audio Network Guild Awards (Best Cinematic/Cut Scene Audio, Music Of The Year and Best Soundtrack Album) for World Of Warcraft: Wrath Of The Lich King.

 

The game is also nominated for three other awards (Music Of The Year, Best Original Vocal - Pop, Best Original Vocal - Choral), honoring composers Russell Brower, Derek Duke, and Glen Stafford.

Winners will be announced at the 7th Annual G.A.N.G. Awards ceremony being held on Thursday, March 26th, 2009 in San Francisco, CA during the Game Developers Conference.

wow1Neal Acree’s opening cinematic music to Blizzard Entertainment’s World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King is now available on iTunes for individual purchase or as part of a 21 track album, including three iTunes exclusives.  Neal’s opening cinematic music, entitled “Arthas, My Son” is currently the most popular track on the album which recently made it to #3 in the soundtrack charts.

lich_boxWith more than 2.8 million copies sold in its first 24 hours, Blizzard Entertainment®’s second World of Warcraft expansion is now the fastest-selling PC game ever.

The opening cinematic music World Of Warcraft: Wrath Of The Lich King was scored by Neal Acree and was performed by the Northwest Symphonia and choir.  Neal also provided the opening cinematic music to the previous World Of Warcraft expansion, The Burning Crusade.

New Sci-Fi channel series “Sanctuary” features music by Neal Acree

Sanctuary follows the adventures of the beautiful, enigmatic and always surprising Dr. Helen Magnus (Amanda Tapping of Stargate SG-1/Stargate Atlantis), a brilliant scientist who holds the secrets of a clandestine population — a group of strange and sometimes terrifying beings that hide among humans. The series also features themes by Joel Goldsmith and original music by Ian Browne.


The premiere drew 2.7 million viewers making it the most watched cable series in it’s time slot.
